Swarthmore United Methodist Church: will stage a special love-themed concert at 7 p.m., Feb. 15, in the church sanctuary, 129 Park Avenue, Swarthmore, entitled, “All You Need is Love.” The event will support earthquake relief in Puerto Rico and feature big band jazz, classical piano and selections of Puerto Rican music by church pastor Lydia Munoz. Performers will include 22 Park Avenue, a seventeen-piece band headquartered in the church and YunJoung Park, the church’s music director, and guitarist Irving Cotto. The concert is open to the public and good will donations will be personally delivered to Puerto Rico by Rev. Munoz and her husband, Rev. James McIntyre. St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church Preschool: 199 W. Baltimore Ave, Clifton Heights, will hold a Cabin Fever Bingo Feb. 29. Norwood United Methodist Church: 315 Chester Pike, Norwood / 610-532-0982 On the "Second Sunday" of the month, we host a free community event. ALL events begin with a free meal served at 5:30 pm, followed by free various events that begin at 6:30 p.m. Visit our website at http://www.norwoodumc.org/ for featured monthly activities and other church information. We will start off with our 5:30 p.m. buffet-style meal, followed by our 6:30 p.m. “Paint Night”. Holmes Presbyterian Church Youth Group: Soup Luncheon/Bake Sale. 375 Holmes Road, is holding their annual Soup Luncheon/ Bake Sale Fundraiser Feb. 8 (snow date Feb. 15), from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. This year we have the greatest variety of soups we've ever had. The varieties include Chili, Chicken Noodle, Clam Chowder, Italian Wedding, Potato, Tomato, Vegetable Beef (pre-order only), Broccoli Cheddar, Lasagna Soup (ground beef, cheese and pasta) and French Onion. If you wish to join us for lunch: a bowl of soup. beverage (coffee, tea, soda) and fresh rolls, the cost is $6. Soups sell quickly and quantities are limited, so it's first come first served. All soups except the Lasagna, French Onion, and Broccoli Cheddar can be pre-ordered prior to the event (last day for pre-orders is February 2nd). Woodlyn Baptist Church: 1125 MacDade Blvd., Woodlyn, is hosting a free children’s pancakes and puppets, Feb. 15, 9–11 a.m. The WBC Puppeteers will present “Noah’s Ark”. Parents are welcome to accompany their children age 4 through 5th grade for pancakes, games, crafts, puppets & an interactive program. Parents are not required to stay. Asbury AME Church: 1712 Providence Avenue, Chester, Pa 19013, where the Rev. Dr. Stanley G. Smith is the pastor is sponsoring a trip to the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC, June 13. Six Ridley Township area Catholic Churches: will again host a weekly Lenten series entitled “Seven Signs in the Gospel of John” on six consecutive Tuesday evenings starting Feb. 25 (the evening before Ash Wednesday). Each evening will feature a talk on a different miracle of Jesus, and each evening will be hosted by a different parish at 7 p.m. The format will include Evening Prayer, Benediction, talk by a different guest speaker each week, and then a social for attendees. The first of the Ridley Area Catholic Churches Lenten Series talks entitled Seven Signs in the Gospel of John will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church (1 Fatima Dr., Secane). The program will consist of Evening Prayer, Benediction, and a talk about the “Miracle at Cana”. The speaker will be Rev. Patrick Brady, Dean, School of Theological Studies, St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. A social will follow the program. March 3 at 7 p.m. the second of the Ridley Area Catholic Churches Lenten Series talks entitled Seven Signs in the Gospel of John will be held at St. Madeline Church (corner Penn St. & Morton Ave., Ridley Park). The program will consist of Evening Prayer, Benediction, and a talk about the “Raising of Lazarus”. The speaker will be Rev. Bernard Taglianetti, Theology Faculty, St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. Michael Magee, Theology Faculty, St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. A social will follow the program. March 31 at 7 p.m., the sixth of the Ridley Area Catholic Churches Lenten Series talks entitled Seven Signs in the Gospel of John will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church (200 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park). The program will consist of Evening Prayer, Benediction, and a talk about “Two Healings – Official’s Son & Man Born Lame”. The speaker will be Rev. Thomas Dailey, O.S.F.S., Theology Faculty, St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. A social will follow the program.

Senior Lift: invites Older Adults to join with us in our journey of learning technologies. Senior Lift also reaches out to unemployed and underemployed individuals who need to access the technology skills required in today’s workplace. Smartphone Classes will be held Dec. 16. St. Francis deSales: in Lenni, Celebrates 125 Years with a celebratory Mass April 2 at 11:30 a.m. followed by a gala dinner at King’s Mill in Aston. Holmes Presbyterian Church: 375 Holmes Road, will show movies outside on our campus weather permitting* the last Saturday of each month at 7 p.m. The movies are family friendly PG movies and are free to anyone who wishes to join us and view them. Bring your favorite drink (non alcoholic) and something to sit on. We'll supply the popcorn. *During Winter months and inclement weather, movies will be shown in the social hall. Turning Point Ministries: 624 E. Eighth St., Chester, is collecting food as part of its endeavor to continually build up the city. Congregants are willing to pick up any and all donated nonperishable items that can be stored in the church’s pantry until the time comes to serve.
