Extreme Minimalists: These siblings live a zero waste lifestyle - AOL
Siblings Samuel and Lydia are doing their part to lessen their impact on the world. Their extreme minimalist lifestyle has allowed them to accumulate less than 20 pounds of trash between the two of them in the past four years, an incredible accomplishment considering the average human creates four pounds trash per day.
Their journey to ensuring a more sustainable life began when the two were researching abroad.
"We were in China, actually, researching air pollution together," Lydia explained to AOL Lifestyle. "And we started to kind of think about where this air pollution was coming from and a big part of it is coming from production."
"Shortly after we started doing zero waste, we started an organization called Live Zero Waste hoping to encourage other people to do it and get this community going a little bit beyond the two of us," Samuel continued.
